The 2024 Night of Glass: A Roundtable on Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in the Glass Industry

​On December 3, 2024, Verescence had the honor of taking part in the 3rd edition of ‘La Nuit du Verre’ (The Night of Glass), an event organized by La Glass Vallée at the Pont Alexandre III Bridge in Paris.

Bringing together 150 professionals—customers, suppliers, partners, and key industry players—this event provided a unique opportunity to discuss the major technological transformations shaping our sector.

Digitalization and AI at the Heart of the Discussions

During the evening, Jean-Michel Gorand, Chief Digital Officer of Verescence, took part in a roundtable dedicated to digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) in the glass industry. It was an opportunity to share Verescence’s advancements in this field. Among the key initiatives highlighted:

  • Energy Optimization through the Technical Energy and Water Management (GTE) system, which enables the digitalization and automation of energy data collection across all our equipment (e.g., gas consumption of a feeder, an annealing lehr, or a fire polishing line).
  • Industrial Performance Improvement via the deployment of innovative technological solutions in collaboration with partners such as Fabriq and Aveva.
