From generation to generation, a passion for glass

« I started working in 1995, at the age of 18, for a Verescence subcontractor in mechanical maintenance at the La Granja plant in Spain. Five years later, I was offered a job first as a packer, in the company where my parents, my grandparents and many of my friends had worked. That explains my pride in this plant, so closely linked to my childhood, and my recognition of the career opportunities it has given me. It’s where I’ve grown both professionally and personally.

With 24 years of career behind me, my experience has been full of opportunities presented to me, which I eagerly accepted, combined with the appropriate training: welder, inspector, and smelter, etc. Today, I’m Sorting Manager in the Cold End Department.

Verescence La Granja (Spain)

The department acts as a filter between production and quality, selecting the product and its packaging according to the customer’s needs and in close communication with the respective departments. This position also involves staff management in coordination with the HR Department. We need to adapt the total team personnel numbers on a daily basis to match production. Staff commitment to the company remains firm, and is an important factor in our everyday improvement. That’s my experience in any case. »
