On Friday, September 4, 2020, we had the honor to receive at our Mers-les-Bains site the visit of Mrs. Agnès Pannier-Runacher, French Minister Delegate for Industry, as part of the "France Relance" (France Relaunch) recovery plan.

Accompanied by CEO Thomas Riou, Hélène Marchand, General Manager France and Vincent Renaud, Plant Director, the French Minister, her team and key officials visited our state-of-the-art industrial site, which employs 820 employees.

Hélène Marchand stated:

We were honored to receive this visit. Today, we need help and support to emerge stronger from the Covid-19 crisis, in order to pursue our industrial investments and skills development of our employees as part of our corporate project Verescence 2022.

In the context of the unprecedented crisis affecting the glass sector, Verescence will activate the necessary measures of the recovery plan to quickly regain the course of its Verescence 2022 corporate project. This new strategic plan aims to become the global reference in the sustainable beauty industry, by pursuing common objectives structured into 5 pillars around sustainability, including:

  • CSR: energy efficiency and skills development of employees;
  • Industrial performance with investments in automation and digitization;
  • Innovation and the conquest of new territories.
