Quality Director

Elena Verescence La Granja (Spain)

FEMALE LEADERSHIP FOR A MAJOR CHALLENGE

« Most of my 13-year career at Verescence has been in the Quality Department. The plant in the La Granja region of Spain has a solid reputation and belongs to an international group that is itself highly regarded. That’s why I’ve always considered it a great opportunity for my professional career to be part of this group.

After five years in my department, I joined the Development Department as Project Manager, mainly for the clients Avon, Loewe and Puig. When the Director of Development left for maternity leave in August 2014, I saw a new employment opportunity for me at Verescence. A position I held for nearly 7 months, until March 2015. I then moved to work at the Mers-les-Bains plant until the end of the year.

Working at Verescence, where women in leadership positions is both a goal and a strategic desire, is particularly motivating.

In July 2016, my career took a major turn: I was promoted to Quality Director, a key position, at the La Granja plant. I am responsible for controlling and managing adherence with compliance rules to ensure customer satisfaction. I also ensure the proper management of customer complaints and control of associated costs.

Working at Verescence, where women in leadership positions is both a goal and a strategic desire, is particularly motivating. Faced with such a demand and a real desire to support more women in decision-making positions and to re-balance gender at these levels, a source of quality for decision-making and leadership in our group, you feel as if you’re "growing wings".

This decisive job position is also, in my opinion, a constant challenge, due to the variety of the clients, the available references and our concern for constant process improvement in order to remain constantly in tune with customer demands. An increasingly demanding challenge. But one that challenges me every day! »
